Welcome to the first part of a series of articles dedicated to helping the Role Players in our community cope with the PVP atmosphere of Conan.  The first in this series will walk players through the starting area of Tortage, to help them survive the often hectic PVP sanctioned areas.  Places where overzealous players looking to test their new character out on others can sometimes get out of hand, at times lacking moral fortitude.

You find yourself stranded, fate has freed you from your chains but a new cage has found its way upon you.  The ocean surrounds you and a corrupt political structure keeps you on the island of Tortage.  The beautiful scenery does little to veil the taint that walks atop it.  Blood thirsty Picts, cultist Stygians, greedy pirates run the city and the blockade keeps the happenings away from the ears and eyes of the King.  It would seem that the combination has gotten too many, sending them into a blood thirsty spiral where your life is no better than the Picts you were forced to slay to free yourself from the shackles of Slavery.
